By definition a canvas is a type of material in which a painting or a piece of artwork is created on. To me a blank canvas does not necessarily need to be the typical 12x12 white cloth like material that you can buy at your local art store. A blank canvas can be anything from the hard concrete floor to an empty space in a wall. A blank canvas is an empty sheet of paper, it is a house, a playground, a garden. It is hair, a face, a body, IT IS AN IDEA!
My name is Krizia and I am an artist. My love for the arts exceed the boundaries of a typical physical 12x12 canvas. I LOVE the Arts. Singing, Drawing, Dance, Theatre...we are surrounded by it in our everyday lives. However, it is only visible to those that would want to see it...to those that take time to appreciate it. To me my blank canvas is DANCE. It is my connection to the world. It is definitive of my TRUTH. To me, "dance is a limitless form of self expression, it is more than just an artform on its own. It constitutes the meaning of the journey that I live each day. It holds stories, feelings, and words that can simply not be uttered from my mouth. To me it is the meaning of honesty and freedom." I am in a constant journey to learn and enhance my artwork. My Canvas will never be finished...it will only get better and more well defined with time. FOREVER A STUDENT in more ways than one.
